Prices go lower and lower and lower

07/16/08 14:27

Just when will the bottom of the pit show up? Prices are still going down and mortgage companies are already crying for help.

The situation is no easier in South California, where real estate prices have gone below than 2004 levels, with almost half of all properties sold being foreclosed ones. Because of this, otherwise deserving loan applicants have been denied by loan providers because of tighter credit.

Is Karl Marx Listening?

07/16/08 14:15
It is an old and wise saying that nothing is free in this world, yet the Americans seemed to believe that a free market economy is the cure to all ills but not any more. With lots of problems such as housing crisis and so on, the people have began to realize that the nation might have been on a wrong track all these years. Karl Marx are you listening from above!

Come Elections - lets ease your burden

07/15/08 01:39
The housing mortgage situation is bad in the US and government is worried about providing some relief to the citizens. Of course with elections around the corner the government certainly needs to do somewhat more than normal and hence a mortgage rescue was passed with overwhelming majority in the senate. Whatever the reasons for making this rule, it will certainly help people who are struggling with their mortgage payments at least to some degree

Want loan - you already have it

07/15/08 01:18
Real estate is a really hot business and this lures many fraudulent people as well to try and earn some extra cash using unfair or illegal means. Recently a scam was unearthed where lots of apartments had been fraudly mortgaged using the stolen identity of some other persons. It was only when one such person applied for a mortgage did he come to know about this fraud

The Definitions of 'Foreclosure'

07/14/08 13:59
At this time when the housing economy is in a mess, we often hear the word 'foreclosure'. For many of us, foreclosures occur when lenders take away your--THEIR--property from you. To some, however, it takes on a different meaning. So how do we define a foreclosure, considering that a lot can be said with a given definition?

Foreclosure Databases

07/12/08 15:18
Here's another one of those businesses that thrive on the housing crisis.

As you might have probably known, foreclosures are public documents that anyone can check anytime they want to, but checking it out in your state's website can be off-putting. That is why some of these websites have put up databases of foreclosed properties that you may want to flip. Sounds pretty neat, doesn't it?

A Foreign Bank for Foreigners

07/09/08 14:46
Despite the turndown in the American real estate industry, real estate is booming in other places on the planet, just like Costa Rica, thanks to expats that are continuously driving the Costa Rican economy up.

The atmosphere here is so good that even foreign banks have come to enter the scene. One of them, Lehman Brothers Bank, is even making Costa Rican history by being the first ever foreign bank to offer mortgage options to non-locals

Living in an RV is No Longer Your Ticket to Living in Venice, California

By Art C Ryter at 07/06/08 11:18
The downturn in the real estate market, a slowing economy, and no where else to turn has led many to try living in their cars, Recreational Vehicles, or campers. This has become a common phenomenon on beach community streets, though many cities have slowly taken aim at reducing the presence of non-dwelling place residents.

Up until this year, Venice Beach, California was a pretty laid-back place. Venetians however are on the growing list of beach communities taking back their streets from the down and out crowd living, partying, and parking on the narrow lanes in this coastal paradise. Out of luck people who have lost their homes to foreclosure, only one step away from being a bum on the street are also losing their opportunity to live by the beach.
