Despite the turndown in the American real estate industry, real estate is booming in other places on the planet, just like Costa Rica, thanks to expats that are continuously driving the Costa Rican economy up.

The atmosphere here is so good that even foreign banks have come to enter the scene. One of them, Lehman Brothers Bank, is even making Costa Rican history by being the first ever foreign bank to offer mortgage options to non-locals
